Kilkerran is produced using lightly peated malt (approx. 15ppm) floor-malted at its sister distillery, Springbank, and is double-distilled. Production is around 100,000 liters, distilled for about three months a year by Springbank's craftsmen.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eKilkerran 12 Year Old is a 12-year-old Campbeltown malt produced in small quantities, using two types of casks: bourbon (70%) and sherry (30%).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe aroma is floral with pear candy and marzipan, joined by a light peat smoke with a sweetness reminiscent of marshmallows roasted over a bonfire. The flavor offers lemon cheesecake and the oily nuance characteristic of Campbeltown malts. With time, toffee pudding sweetness emerges, along with light peat smoke, leather, and pepper.
