Esprit de Vin Japonais is a blend series from Sapporo Beer's "Grand Polaire" brand. This series, whose name means "the spirit of Japanese wine," was created to pursue the delicate and gentle taste unique to Japanese wine and its wonderful compatibility with daily meals.
Key Feature: A superb blend woven from two distinct personalities
Predominantly made with Koshu, a white grape variety representative of Japan from Yamanashi Prefecture, it is harmoniously blended with Muscat of Alexandria from Okayama Prefecture, known for its rich aroma. By leveraging the characteristics of each region and enhancing the best qualities of each grape, we have achieved a depth of flavor that cannot be attained with a single variety.
Flavor and Aroma Profile: Clear aroma and pleasant finish
When you bring the glass close, a clean impression derived from Koshu and a refreshing, elegant aroma brought by Muscat of Alexandria spread. The palate is gentle, with a hint of astringency and fresh acidity, resulting in a refreshing finish characteristic of Japanese wine. It is a transparent white wine that gently complements delicate Japanese dishes.

To bring out the refreshing acidity and aroma of this wine, it is best served well-chilled at 5-7°C.
