Its history dates back to 1773. After its establishment, the distillery changed its name many times and was named "Buffalo Trace Distillery" in 1999.
Pioneering through the ages with 'frontier spirit' and overcoming hardships such as Prohibition, it established itself as a legendary bourbon distillery. It continues to produce bourbon lauded by blenders and connoisseurs worldwide as being of the highest quality, and in 2005, it achieved the remarkable feat of being the first distillery in the United States to win "Distillery of the Year."
