サントリーウイスキーセミナーを受講してきました🌟

I attended the Suntory Whisky Seminar! 🌟

This image features Yamazaki whisky, which is currently very difficult to obtain and causing much inconvenience. 🤫

And the cups contain some of Yamazaki's component whiskies: Mizunara, wine, white oak, and Spanish oak casks. 😊

Why are we studying whiskies that can't even be displayed in stores...?

The key phrase to unraveling this mystery is "retro whisky." 😊

Suntory has historic masterpieces like Reserve, Royal, and Old.

And the malts used in them are precisely from the Hakushu and Yamazaki distilleries, and grain whisky from the Chita Distillery (please also read my blog post about visiting there).

As a liquor store, it's pathetic to simply tell customers who ask for Yamazaki, "We don't have it... sorry." 🥲

Suntory hasn't publicly announced it, but Reserve is a blended whisky with Hakushu malt as its key malt. It's essentially an affordable version of Hakushu.

Royal is an affordable version of Yamazaki, using Yamazaki malt, particularly those from Spanish oak and wine casks. So I'm told. 😃

Old, when drunk with water, is sweet and the essence of Japanese whisky that pairs well with Japanese cuisine. 😃

Excellent whiskies are still being sold.

It was a seminar that made me reconfirm that 💛

At Sumidaya's store, we have a retro whisky corner.

Please come visit our store too! 💕
