We will release "Mellow Kozuru KANOSUKE Cask Finish 2023," a barrel-aged rice shochu, in a limited quantity of 3,000 bottles.
In 2017, the 60th anniversary of the 1957 launch of "Mellow Kozuru," Japan's first barrel-aged rice shochu, we established the KANOSUKE Distillery for malt whisky, leveraging the expertise cultivated through "Mellow Kozuru."
This product is a barrel-aged rice shochu that has undergone further maturation in whisky barrels previously used for aging whisky at the KANOSUKE Distillery, after its initial barrel aging as Mellow Kozuru.
American white oak barrels, which were used for aging whisky at the KANOSUKE Distillery, are used for the post-maturation.
Please enjoy the mellow and rich aroma and flavor created by the fusion of over 60 years of cultivated barrel-aging technology and the knowledge gained from KANOSUKE Distillery's Western liquor production.
