Features and Production Method

Craft Gin Setouchi Amanatsu is characterized by its refreshing aroma and fruity taste, derived from the generous use of Amanatsu citrus from the Setouchi region. The addition of green tea and juniper berries results in a deep and well-balanced flavor.

The water used is 'Haigamine Fusui', famous water from Kure, which is mild and soft water with a moderate mineral content. This contributes to a gentle sweetness and an Amanatsu flavor that spreads throughout the mouth. Another unique characteristic of this product is that it may become cloudy when served on the rocks or with soda due to the rich citrus oils it contains.

How to Enjoy

Craft Gin Setouchi Amanatsu can be enjoyed neat on the rocks, or mixed with soda for an even more refreshing experience. It also makes an excellent base for cocktails, especially citrus-based ones. For an enhanced flavor, garnish with a lemon slice or mint.

History and Background

Miyake Honten, founded in Kure, Hiroshima in 1856 (Ansei 3), has been brewing sake for over 100 years, while preserving tradition and embracing new challenges. In 2020, they embarked on the development of a craft gin that utilizes the natural bounty of Setouchi, and released "Craft Gin Setouchi Amanatsu" with the aim of sharing its deliciousness with people around the world.

Awards

Craft Gin Setouchi Amanatsu won the Gold Medal in the Western Spirits category at the Tokyo Whisky & Spirits Competition (TWSC) 2024. As evidenced by this prestigious award, its quality and deliciousness are highly acclaimed both domestically and internationally.
