Ichifusa: A Powerful Aged Koshu Blend with High Alcohol Content
Takahashi Shuzo has created "Kuma Shochu Ichifusa" by blending "Hakutake" with Koshu (aged sake) that has been matured for over three years. The name comes from "Ichifusa no Tsuyu," a famous sake that supported Takahashi Shuzo in its early days, and Mount Ichifusa, the main peak of the Kuma region. This particular version has a high alcohol content of 35%.
Light Aroma and Robust Flavor from Aged Koshu
By using low-pressure distillation, the domestic rice and domestic rice koji ingredients are refined to remove anyクセ (undesirable characteristics), and then aged Koshu is blended in to achieve a light aroma and sophisticated flavor. The 35% alcohol content also provides a satisfying richness.
Recommended Ways to Enjoy
Enjoy the aroma and flavor slowly on the rocks or with water. Adding hot water will make it even mellower.
