Product Introduction
In 1923, Shinjiro Torii, who began making Japan's first whisky, launched it in 1929 (Showa 4) as the first domestic whisky.
Although the initial brand name was simply "Suntory Whisky," it became known as "Shirofuda" (white label) due to its white label. After the war, it was cherished by whisky connoisseurs and affectionately called "Shiro."
For this reason, its name was changed to the current "White" in 1964.
