Nikka Frontier Highball is a canned highball based on the raw whisky used in "Nikka Frontier," manufactured by Nikka Whisky Distilling Co., Ltd. It was created to allow people to more easily enjoy "Nikka Frontier," a brand that carries on the frontier spirit of Masataka Taketsuru, the founder of Nikka Whisky, who pioneered the history of Japanese whisky. It will be released in limited quantities starting July 14, 2026.
Smoky Flavor with the Scent of Heavy Peated Malt from Yoichi Distillery
Heavy peated malt raw whisky with a robust flavor from the Yoichi Distillery in Hokkaido, the birthplace of the company, is used as the key malt. By finishing it with the "non-chill filtered method," which involves filtering at room temperature without the "chill filtration" typically used in whisky production, a rich aroma and complex, smoky flavor are achieved, retaining abundant aromatic components. The back of the can features the brand copy "Smoky Aroma, New Frontier," which describes its flavor characteristics.
About the Packaging Design
The packaging features a matte-textured can based on the brand's orange color. The initial "N" of the Nikka Whisky corporate logo is prominently placed in the center, creating a cohesive design with the bottled "Nikka Frontier."
