anCnoc is a single malt produced by the Knockdhu Distillery in the Scottish Highlands. Though not flashy, the distillery has a dedicated following due to its meticulous craftsmanship.
The Complexity of Peated Malt and Sherry Casks
"Sherry Peated" is a whisky crafted from smoky new make spirit, made with peat from Aberdeenshire, aged initially in American oak ex-bourbon casks, and then finished in sherry casks from Jerez, Spain. Sweet aromas of honey, candied lemon, butterscotch, and raisins intermingle with notes of leather, cinnamon, and peat smoke.
A Long Finish from Charred Oak
Finished non-chill filtered and with natural color, its appeal lies in a long finish featuring charred oak, peat smoke, and a caramel-like sweetness.
