Kamotsuru Chilled Temperature-Aged Nama 300ml | Japanese Sake, Hiroshima Prefecture, Kamotsuru Sake Brewing
Kamotsuru Sake Brewing’s “Hyon-on Gakoi Kurasei” is a nama-chozo sake that is stored unpasteurized at a low temperature throughout storage and pasteurized only once when bottled for shipment. It offers the fresh aroma unique to nama sake and a light, never-tiring flavor. It has received a Gold Award in the Regular Sake category at the 2019 London Sake Challenge and a Gold Award at the 2020 Sake Awards Japan for Delicious Sake in Wine Glasses.
About the Hyon-on Gakoi method
“Hyon-on Gakoi” is a storage method that keeps the sake at a low temperature close to freezing to prevent deterioration. Kamotsuru combines this low-temperature storage with the minimal pasteurization characteristic of nama-chozo sake, bottling it while preserving as much of its fresh, just-pressed flavor as possible. The 300 ml size is ideal for those who would like to try a smaller quantity first or are looking for just the right amount to enjoy with an evening drink.
Recommended serving suggestions
Enjoy it well chilled to fully appreciate the refreshing aroma and lively finish characteristic of nama-chozo sake. It pairs wonderfully with light appetizers such as chilled tofu, sashimi, and vinegared dishes, and is also recommended as a refreshing first drink to start your meal.
