アイラ島唯一の海に面さない蒸溜所、キルホーマン。麦の栽培からボトリングまで全工程を蒸溜所内で行う稀有な存在です。年に一度だけリリースされる「ロッホゴルム」は、キルホーマンの原酒の約8割を占めるバーボンバレルとは異なり、100%シェリー樽で仕上げられる非常に希少な一本。 2026年版は、10年以上熟成されたオロロソシェリーバット原酒の23樽を使用しています。
こだわりのポイント
「ロッホゴルム」は蒸溜所近くの湖の名前に由来し、ピーティな性質を持つその水を仕込み水として使用しています。フェノール値50ppmのアイラ産ピート麦芽を使用し、23樽のオロロソシェリーバット（ファーストフィル20樽、セカンドフィル3樽）で熟成。ファーストフィルの力強さを、セカンドフィルが程よく和らげたバランスに仕上げています。
味わい・香りの特徴
赤い果実のドライフルーツやBBQで焼き上げた肉、ローストしたクルミの香りに、濃厚なピートスモークが重なります。味わいは砂糖漬けのオレンジやトロピカルフルーツ、塩キャラメル、ドライプルーンにシナモンやナツメグが調和。フィニッシュには温かみのあるスパイスの余韻とともに、ローストしたダークチョコレートやリコリス、心地よいピートスモークが長く続きます。
おすすめの楽しみ方
まずはストレートで、ピートとシェリーの融合を存分にお楽しみください。少量の加水やロックにすることで、果実感やスパイスの香りがより華やかに開きます。
