TOMOE Shibatoko Vineyard Muscat Bailey A 750ml | Red Wine
This Muscat Bailey A from Hiroshima Miyoshi Winery is made exclusively with grapes grown by its contracted grower, Shibatoko, and aged for 18 months in oak barrels. It is an accomplished wine that won a Bronze Medal at the 2020 IWSC (International Wine & Spirits Competition).
Description
Its deep garnet color is complemented by aromas reminiscent of fresh raspberries and ripe cherries, while well-balanced acidity and a subtle spiciness linger on the finish. Extended aging in oak barrels adds gentle, vanilla-like oak nuances, resulting in a full-bodied wine with a firm structure for a Muscat Bailey A.
Recommended serving suggestions
This wine pairs beautifully with sweet-and-savory Japanese dishes, such as sukiyaki and yakitori with tare sauce. We also recommend enjoying it with creamy cheeses such as Camembert.
