スコットランド本島最北端の街サーソーに2013年に蘇ったウルフバーン蒸溜所。
かつて全ての蒸留所がそうであったように、昔ながらの手作業と先人達から受け継がれてきた伝統を重んじ「可能な限り人の手で」をモットーに貫く職人たちのこだわり。
そうした信念が、今や世界のモルトファンを虜にするウイスキーとして人気を博しています。
今回のバッチ204は最初にファーストフィルのEXバーボン樽で5年間熟成後、ファーストフィルのマディラホグスヘッドで6か月間後熟しました。
その結果色合いが濃く並外れた深みのある味わいに仕上がりました。
テイスティングノート
バーボンとマディラのアロマが広がる。麦芽、焦がしたシュガーの甘さ、バニラ、ヘーゼルナッツ、オレンジの柑橘香が広がります。蜂蜜とバタースコッチの心地よい余韻が長く続く。ファーストフィルのバーボンとマディラのマリアージュ。スモールバッチシリーズならではの傑作となっております。
