Château Malagar Cuvée La Croix Bouey 2007｜Aged Bordeaux Red from the Château Gruaud-Larose Family
A mature Bordeaux with the lineage of a Second Growth château, enjoyable for around 1,000 yen
This red wine comes from Château Malagar, owned by Jean Merlaut, the current owner of the Médoc Second Growth Château Gruaud Larose. We bring you the depth of a Bordeaux wine aged over many years, from the 2007 vintage, at a price suited to everyday dining.
Key features
In Bordeaux, where wines typically require significant aging potential, opportunities to find quality back vintages at an everyday price are rare. This wine incorporates the former nearby Château Croix Bouey brand as part of Malagar, offering reliable quality and a pleasantly mellow maturity that has stood the test of time without fading.
Taste and aroma profile
After nearly 20 years of aging, it has blossomed into a harmonious expression of soft tannins and elegant aromas. (※We will add precise wording once detailed tasting notes are provided.)
