Marquis de Calon-Ségur 750ml | Red Wine France
From the Bordeaux Médoc region, Marquis de Calon Ségur is the second wine of Château Calon-Ségur, a Third Growth château in Saint-Estèphe. This is an opportunity to enjoy another side of the prestigious château, known for its heart-shaped label.
Product Description
The 2016 vintage is a blend of 55% Merlot and 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged for 17 months in barrels consisting of approximately 30% new oak. Unlike the first wine, it is characterized by the rich, generous fruitiness derived from Merlot. Its distinctive aromas evoke raspberry jam, mocha, white flowers, spices, and blood orange.
Recommended Enjoyment
Medium- to full-bodied, this wine pairs well with richly flavored dishes such as braised red meat and roast beef. Decanting is also recommended to allow its aromas to gradually open up.
