Le Marquis de Calon Ségur 750ml | Red Wine France
Le Marquis de Calon Ségur, the second wine from the Cru Classé Château Calon Ségur in Saint-Estèphe, Bordeaux, France. Made with grapes from parcels different from those used for the grand vin, it pursues its own distinctive style.
Description
A blend of 56% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot. Carefully grown and aged over 17 months, with 30% of the barrels being new oak. It is characterized by a velvety, smooth mouthfeel and rich fruit flavors reminiscent of sunshine, achieving an elegant style reminiscent of a grand vin that can be enjoyed from an early stage.
Recommended serving
Pairs exceptionally well with richly flavored dishes such as grilled red meat and roast beef. We also recommend letting it breathe for a little while after opening to allow its aromas to unfold before enjoying it. A bottle worthy of a special occasion.
