鹿児島県霧島市国分に蔵を構える国分酒造協業組合が、1998年に業界で初めて世に送り出したのが「いも麹 芋」です。米麹を一切使わず、さつまいもだけで麹を作るという当時としては画期的な製法から生まれました。
内容紹介
通常の芋焼酎は米麹を用いて仕込みますが、「いも麹 芋」は地元産のさつまいもで麹（いも麹）を作り、さらにさつまいもを発酵させるという、原料から麹まですべてをさつまいもでまかなう100%芋焼酎です。米を一切使わないことで生まれるのは、素材そのものの甘みとコクがまっすぐに感じられる、力強くも澄んだ味わい。芋麹仕込みの草分け的な存在として、今なお多くの焼酎ファンに支持され続けている銘柄です。
おすすめの楽しみ方
お湯割りにすると芋の甘みがふわっと立ち上がり、寒い季節に体の芯から温まります。ロックでじっくり味わえば、芋麹ならではの奥深い旨味をダイレクトに楽しめます。1.8Lサイズなので、家飲みでゆっくり付き合いたい方におすすめです。
