Maboroshi, the flagship brand of Nakao Brewery (Takehara, Hiroshima Prefecture, founded in 1871), was born from the discovery of the apple yeast that won first place at the National New Sake Appraisal in 1948. This Junmai Ginjo is carefully brewed in small batches and delivered in a convenient 300 ml size for easy enjoyment.
Description
This sake features an elegant, fruity aroma reminiscent of apples and pears, created by its distinctive apple yeast. Carefully polished Omachi rice from Okayama Prefecture is slowly fermented at low temperatures to bring out a refined sweetness balanced by a clean acidity. The compact 300 ml size takes up little space in the refrigerator, making it perfect for enjoying at home with a small group or comparing different flavors.
Recommended way to enjoy
We recommend serving it well chilled in a wine glass to bring out its aromas. It pairs exceptionally well with delicate appetizers such as white-fish carpaccio and prosciutto. Slowly savor the fruity aromas that emerge with each successive sip.
