Dubonnet Rouge 750ml | Aperitif Wine France
Dubonnet is a herbal aperitif wine created in 1846 by French chemist Joseph Dubonnet. It was developed to make quinine bark, then considered an effective treatment for malaria, more enjoyable to consume, and later became a favorite of European royalty. It is a historic bottle with a fascinating heritage.
Product Description
Made with a red wine base infused with quinine bark, herbs, and spices, then aged in barrels. Its subtle bitterness and deep sweetness are beautifully balanced, with a smooth, wine-like finish that makes it easy to drink.
Recommended Ways to Enjoy
Serve well chilled over ice or topped with soda for a classic serve. It is also known as the base for the Dubonnet Cocktail, made with gin, and gently stimulates the appetite as an aperitif.
