Sakurajima Black Koji Original Shochu 1.8L bottle | Sweet potato shochu Hombo Shuzō Kagoshima Prefecture
A Rare Limited Edition: Imo Shochu “Sakurajima Kurokoji Genshu”
“Sakurajima Kurokoji Genshu” is an imo shochu made by Hombo Shuzo. Crafted from Kogane Sengan sweet potatoes, it is made with black koji and aged for one year without adding a single drop of water, making it a rare genshu.
Rich Flavor Unique to Undiluted Genshu
Because it has not been adjusted with water, this genshu offers the rich umami and satisfying body that are characteristic of imo shochu. It is a limited-edition release from the distillery every autumn.
Recommended Serving Style
We recommend enjoying it on the rocks to savor the genshu’s bold character. Adding a small amount of water is also an excellent way to open up its aromas.
For Special Moments
As a rare limited-batch release, this distinctive bottle is perfect for a special evening drink or as a gift for imo shochu enthusiasts.
