Original Roasted Sweet Potato Shochu 1800ml Bottle | Sweet potato shochu Kagoshima Shuzo Kagoshima Prefecture
4952425141393
“Ganso Yakiimo Shochu,” made by Kagoshima Shuzo Co., Ltd. (Kagoshima Prefecture). Using a unique production method in which the sweet potatoes (Kogane Sengan) are first roasted before being used in the brewing process, this sweet potato shochu features a distinctive, fragrant sweetness derived from roasted sweet potatoes.
The name “Ganso,” meaning “original,” comes from the brewery’s status as one of the first producers to commercialize roasted sweet potato shochu. Its appeal lies in the balance between the clean finish achieved through white koji fermentation and its rich, roasted-sweet-potato character.
Recommended Ways to Enjoy
We recommend mixing it with hot water to bring out the fragrant sweetness of roasted sweet potatoes. It can also be enjoyed on the rocks, which allows you to fully appreciate its distinctive flavor.
