After aging in American oak barrels for approximately one to one and a half years, it is finished by being filtered again through activated charcoal. This process helps preserve the rum's original flavor while keeping its color light. Its mild character makes it highly versatile as an everyday cocktail base, in contrast to aged styles such as Bacardi 8, which is aged for eight years.
