Yazooka World Malt BURN Selected by Kazuya Yoshii 700ml | Whisky
4573286173844
YAZŪKA, created by Nagahama Distillery in Shiga, is a collaboration series with rock singer Kazuya Yoshii. The first release, BURN, aims to further amplify through whisky the fiery passion embodied by the song “BURN,” which symbolizes THE YELLOW MONKEY at the height of its success.
The passionate flavor created by charring
Focusing on a technique called “charring,” in which the inside of the cask is burned with flames, the casks used for secondary maturation were crafted by the staff of Nagahama Distillery themselves. It features a smoky flavor reminiscent of smoked foods, sweet aromas of nuts and vanilla, and a rounded richness evocative of honey. The addition of smoky spirit creates a flavor that seems to capture the sight of flames blazing inside the bottle. Its vivid amber color is complemented by sweet, toasty top notes reminiscent of vanilla, burnt caramel, and a blood orange pound cake. Accents of nuts and walnuts derived from sherry-cask-matured spirit can also be detected.
Recommended ways to enjoy
Enjoy it slowly neat or on the rocks, savoring the smoky finish reminiscent of a campfire. Its rich, full-bodied flavor pairs beautifully with smoked cheese, nuts, and dark chocolate, making it a dram to enjoy slowly on a quiet evening.
