ロエロ アルネイス 750ml | 白ワイン イタリア
Roero Arneis is a white wine produced in the Roero area north of Alba in Piedmont. Unlike the Langhe area, known for Barolo and Barbaresco, Roero is a DOCG wine region with a distinctive character shaped by sandy soils containing fossils from an ancient sea.
From a little-known variety to a prestigious white wine
Arneis was once planted as a "decoy variety" to protect Nebbiolo, used for red wine, from birds. Its lightness, imparted by sandy soils, and its graceful aromas reminiscent of pear, apricot, citrus, and almond have earned it high praise. Today, it is recognized as one of Piedmont's leading white wines and has been granted DOCG status. Primarily fermented in stainless steel tanks, it offers a fresh, delicate flavor with a refined mineral character.
Recommended ways to enjoy
Pairs well with all kinds of seafood dishes, and is especially recommended with dishes that highlight the natural flavors of the ingredients, such as acqua pazza and carpaccio, as well as an aperitif.
