Kilchoman Sanaig – The Rich Harmony of Bourbon Casks and Oloroso Sherry Casks
Kilchoman Sanaig is a standard Islay malt, vatted from bourbon cask and Oloroso sherry cask matured whiskies. With a higher proportion of sherry cask influence, it is characterized by a multi-layered combination of fruity, sweet nuances and the distinctive Islay peat smoke.
The aroma presents a rich fruitiness of heather, raisins, pear, orange peel, and apricot, harmoniously integrated with mixed spices and peat smoke. The palate begins with the sweetness of ripe plum and red cherry, followed by citrus accents, substantial barbecue smoke, toffee, oak, and dark chocolate. The finish is long and deep, with lingering notes of brown sugar, cinnamon, cloves, and peat smoke.
