ソーテルヌの対岸で生まれる、ハチミツのような甘口白ワイン。
「シャトー・マザラン」は、フランス・ボルドー地方のAOPプルミエール・コート・ド・ボルドーで造られる、セミヨン主体の甘口白ワインです。
貴腐ワインの銘醸地として知られるソーテルヌ地区とは、ガロンヌ川をはさんだ向かい側。
甘口ワインの本場ボルドーの味わいを、気軽に楽しめる価格で届けてくれる一本です。

シャトー・マザランは1981年創立。
35ヘクタールのぶどう畑を所有しています。
畑の土壌は、粘土石灰質と砂利質。
ぶどうの熟度と糖度を見極めながら、数回に分けて手摘みで収穫します。
品種はセミヨン90%、ミュスカデル10%。
温度管理されたステンレスタンクで発酵させ、そのままタンクで数ヵ月熟成させています。
グラスに注ぐと、フレッシュな果実、白い花、ハチミツの香り。
熟した果実の甘みに、程よい酸味。
余韻には、アカシアの花とハチミツがふわりと残ります。
甘いのに、べたつかない。
甘口ワインをはじめて飲む方にもおすすめしやすい味わいです。
おすすめの楽しみ方
よく冷やして、小ぶりのグラスで。
食前酒としてそのまま楽しむのもおすすめです。
相性抜群なのは、フォアグラや鶏レバーのペースト。
ブルーチーズと合わせると、塩気と甘みのコントラストがたまりません。
食後には、フルーツタルトや焼き菓子などのデザートと一緒に。
ゆっくり過ごしたい夜の一杯にもぴったりです。
