Kirishima Distillery: Traditional Imo Shochu, Preserved Since 1911
"Akarui Noson" is a flagship brand of Kirishima Distillery in Kirishima City, Kagoshima Prefecture. It is crafted using handmade traditional ceramic pots passed down since the distillery's founding, and is made with "Kogane Sengan" sweet potatoes from Kagoshima Prefecture and mineral-rich natural water from the Kirishima mountain range.
Flavor Profile
This shochu is characterized by its blend of black koji and white koji distillates, bringing out the best qualities of both. It offers an aroma reminiscent of steamed sweet potatoes, a deep richness, and a lingering finish, embodying traditional flavors that continue to be enjoyed today.
