This is the 20th single malt Japanese whisky in the 24 Solar Terms series.
As the summer quietly departs, the faint moon is reflected on the surface of Lake Akkeshi, on a night when the Perseid meteor shower falls.
Aged Akkeshi malt releases a citrus aroma with a soft peaty note.
The key malt is raw spirit from Hokkaido Mizunara oak barrels.
Enjoy the opening of the final chapter of the 24 Solar Terms.
Aroma: Compote of peach and apricot, vanilla served with custard pudding, brown sugar syrup, dried persimmon, and a soft smoky aroma like a bonfire.
Taste: Lemon cake, orange macaroon, and a light acidity like ramune candy.
Finish: Coarsely ground black pepper, a savory spiciness like ginger soy sauce, and a lingering sweetness of lemon candy.
