Brown Sugar Shochu Made with the Bounty of Kikaijima, the Easternmost Island of the Amami Islands
Asahi Shuzo, located on Kikaijima, Kagoshima Prefecture, known as the first island to see the sunrise, produces the brown sugar shochu "Asahi." It is made from carefully selected, high-quality brown sugar and rice, using mineral-rich hard water that springs from the coral reef limestone layer unique to Kikaijima.
Gentle Sweetness Achieved Through Atmospheric Distillation and Over One Year of Storage and Aging
After being produced using traditional atmospheric distillation, it is carefully stored and aged for over a year, which brings out the gentle, clear sweetness of brown sugar and a soft mouthfeel. A clean aftertaste is also a characteristic.

It is recommended to enjoy the gentle sweetness of brown sugar slowly on the rocks or with hot water.
