"Jun-Kokusan Craft Gin AWA GIN" is a premium craft gin meticulously crafted using only 100% domestically sourced ingredients, primarily selected from Tokushima Prefecture. From the base alcohol to the botanicals (plant-based ingredients), this gin fully embodies the terroir of Japan, and specifically, Awa (Tokushima). Please savor the refreshing yet deep aroma created by the fusion of Japanese citrus and spices.

Key Features: Yamadanishiki Rice Alcohol and Tokushima Botanicals

The base spirit uses 100% graded Yamadanishiki rice from Tokushima Prefecture, renowned as an ingredient for high-quality sake. By carefully fermenting the moromi and meticulously distilling it using both a pot still (single distillation apparatus) and a patent still (continuous distillation apparatus), we create a complex and uniquely flavored rice alcohol.
Furthermore, the following carefully selected botanicals are used for flavoring:

• Sudachi: A representative citrus fruit of Tokushima. Its peel contains abundant aromatic compounds, lending an elegant freshness.
• Kito Yuzu: Produced in Naka-cho, Tokushima Prefecture. This is a famous product registered under the Geographical Indication (GI) protection system, characterized by its thick peel and high aroma.
• Awa Bancha: A rare lactic-fermented tea produced in Naka-cho and Kamikatsu-cho. It is low in catechins and caffeine, adding a unique sweet and sour aroma.
• Domestic Sansho: A traditional Japanese spice enjoyed since ancient times. We use 100% domestic sansho, which tightens the overall flavor with its refreshing aroma.

The peels of citrus fruits like sudachi and Kito yuzu, along with the flavors of sansho and Awa Bancha, are exquisitely harmonized, creating a refreshing sensation characteristic of Japanese citrus and a mellow, deep taste derived from sake. A significant feature unique to "AWA GIN" is its extremely rich infusion and extraction of citrus aromatic components (essential oils), which causes the gin to become cloudy (louche effect) in the glass when its temperature drops or water is added, such as when served on the rocks or with water. This is evidence of the rich components dissolved within, and can be enjoyed visually as well.
