シャトー・カントナック・ブラウンは、1855年格付けでマルゴー第3級に選ばれたボルドーの名門で、2020年ヴィンテージはこのシャトーがマルゴーの偉大な生産者たちの仲間入りを果たしたと評される記念すべき年になりました。カベルネ・ソーヴィニヨン67パーセント、メルロー33パーセントのブレンドで、新樽60パーセントを含む樽の中で丁寧に熟成されています。
内容紹介
2020年はボルドーにとって造り手の実力が試される難しくも実り多いヴィンテージとされ、夏の暑さと小粒の果実によって凝縮感のある果実味が生まれました。ダークチェリーやプラム、チョコレート、なめし革、リコリスやクローブを思わせる複雑な香りが層を成し、密度がありながらも縦に伸びるような骨格の強さを感じさせます。近年のヴィンテージと比べても瑞々しさとエネルギーに富み、2026年から2055年まで長期熟成が期待できる、まさに20年から30年先を見据えて楽しめる1本です。
おすすめの楽しみ方
しっかりとした骨格を持つため、赤身肉のグリルやローストラム、熟成チーズなど、脂と旨みのある料理との相性が抜群です。抜栓後はデキャンタージュしてゆっくりと空気に触れさせることで、香りがより豊かに開いていきます。
