Preserving Tradition and the Terroir of Sauternes

The history of Chateau Jeannine began in 1919 when Nicolas Bonard's grandfather inherited the estate. The winery maximizes the unique Sauternes terroir, where humidity from the Garonne River, southeast of Bordeaux, encourages the development of Botrytis cinerea (noble rot). By using grapes grown in clay soil and employing traditional methods unchanged for over a century, they encapsulate the true essence of Sauternes in every bottle.

Rich Aromas and Golden Drops

When poured into a glass, its beautiful golden color, darker than typical dessert wines, catches the eye. As it ages, its hue deepens further into an amber. The aroma is exceptionally rich, with fresh citrus fruits and delicate white floral notes spreading through the air. On the palate, a rich sweetness of honey and citrus intertwines with nuances of peach and apricot, offering a wonderfully balanced finish.
