Den-en Gold is the flagship brand of Den-en Shuzo, which released Japan's first barrel-aged barley shochu in 1985. The entire volume is aged in barrels for three years, and during maturation, it is nurtured using a unique "music aging" method, where classical music is played.
Rich Aroma Reminiscent of Vanilla and Mellow Sweetness
It features a rich aroma from barrel aging and a mellow texture brought about by long-term maturation. Made with barley, barley koji, and rice koji, and fermented with white koji, it achieves a gentle sweetness and a deep, lingering finish.
Recommended Ways to Drink
We recommend enjoying the aroma of barrel aging slowly on the rocks or with water. It also pairs well with Western-style snacks such as cheese and nuts.
