This is a single-vineyard, single-varietal wine from Sapporo Beer's Grand Polaire, made with Syrah grown in our own vineyard in Ikeda, Azumino region, Nagano Prefecture. The 2021 vintage grapes were carefully crafted to reflect the unique character of the region.
Syrah that embodies the terroir of Azumino Ikeda
Azumino, Nagano Prefecture, is known as one of Japan's premier grape-growing regions, and the Ikeda area in particular is blessed with abundant sunshine due to mountains to the east and west of the land. The characteristic spice and black pepper aromas of Syrah are layered with the nuance of golden-hued herbs, resulting in a complex and profound glass.
Elegant aroma of fruit and spice
The tannins are supple, and it is characterized by an elegant taste that is not overly rustic. It pairs well with rich dishes such as roast beef and game, enhancing your special dining experience.

Enjoying it decanted at room temperature will allow you to fully appreciate the aroma and depth of the Syrah.
