"Hanatare Torori" is an imo shochu produced by Ogatama Shuzo in Satsumasendai City, Kagoshima Prefecture, made by collecting only the "hanatare" - the very first, small amount of liquid obtained during distillation. As its tagline, "A drop, two drops, on the tongue," suggests, this is a bottle to be savored slowly, a small amount at a time.
Concentrated umami and a rich, profound flavor
It features a higher alcohol content than regular shochu and the concentrated umami and depth unique to the initial distillate. You can enjoy a robust flavor that tightly encapsulates the sweetness and aroma of sweet potato.
