約600年前の修道士のレシピにルーツを持つ白ビール
ヒューガルデン公式サイトによると、ヒューガルデン村の修道士たちが小麦ビールの独特なレシピを見出したのは1445年頃。遠い国から届いた珍しい植物を伝統の小麦ビールに加えたことが始まりとされ、現在のレシピもその発想を受け継いでいます。小麦由来のやわらかな白い濁りに、オレンジピールの柑橘の爽やかさと、コリアンダーのスパイシーな香り。苦みは穏やかで、すっと飲めるフルーティーな味わいです。
おすすめの楽しみ方
公式サイトでは、よく冷やしてからグラスに3分の2ほど注ぎ、瓶を回して底に残った酵母を混ぜてから注ぎ切る飲み方が紹介されています。こうすると、ヒューガルデンらしい白い濁りと香りがしっかり楽しめます。サラダやカルパッチョ、白身魚のフライ、ムール貝など、軽めの料理や魚介と合わせて。暑い日の一杯目にもよく合います。
