This umeshu is made without any added fragrances, colorings, or acidulants, and then tea leaves are steeped in it. The tea leaves used are "Chiran Tea," a brand from Kagoshima. Among "Chiran Tea," only "Ichiban-cha" (first flush tea), made from young shoots picked at the very beginning of the growing season, is used. This is a premium green tea umeshu, meticulously extracting the fresh aroma and mellow sweetness unique to "Ichiban-cha."
