Iichiko Silhouette, a premium version of Iichiko, crafted by Sanwa Shurui in Oita Prefecture, offers an even more refined flavor. This barley shochu is made by skillfully blending a 100% koji-brewed original sake with oak barrel-aged sake, resulting in an aromatic flavor unique to white koji.
The bell-shaped frosted bottle, designed by a glass artist, is the origin of the "Silhouette" name. Its low height, which allows it to fit neatly on a whiskey shelf, is also a charming feature. In 2018, it received the top award in its category at the Los Angeles International Spirits Competition.
