A soft and elegant Japanese peated whisky crafted by Kanosuke Distillery, located on the coast of tropical Kagoshima. "Kanosuke Single Malt PEATED" is a vatted whisky primarily made from peated new make matured in shochu recharred casks and bourbon casks, blended with new make matured in various other casks. It leverages the terroir created by the warm climate and sea breeze of Hioki, Kagoshima, characterized by a smoky yet mellow and juicy flavor.
This is a highly anticipated Japanese craft whisky, weaving together the smokiness of peat with the sweetness of tropical fruits and a subtle Japanese umami.
Recommended Way to Enjoy
It's recommended to enjoy it straight to fully savor the soft peat and fruity notes born from its terroir. With a small amount of water, nuances of quince candy, citrus, and salted candy are further enhanced. It pairs well with food, and its balanced profile makes it a good match for Japanese cuisine.
