Kichisuke Black 25% 720ml Bottle | Sweet Potato Shochu Kirishima Brewery Miyazaki
4972776090034
“Kisuke” is a sweet potato shochu made with sweet potato koji, named after Kirishima Shuzo founder Kisuke Enatsu. Made with 100% sweet potato koji and black koji, Kisuke (Black) offers a deep richness that sets it apart from ordinary sweet potato shochu. It comes in an easy-to-enjoy 720 ml bottle, perfect for comparing with other varieties.
Product Description
This authentic shochu is made using a labor-intensive method: premium Kogane Sengan sweet potatoes are used, and the koji mold is cultivated not on rice koji but directly on sweet potatoes themselves to create sweet potato koji. Kirishima Shuzo describes this flavor profile as its unique “G Taste,” representing the three Gs: purity, gentleness, and elegance. Enjoy the full-bodied richness and lingering finish characteristic of black koji.
Recommended Serving Suggestions
Pair it with rich, fatty dishes such as yakitori or braised pork belly to further bring out the richness of the black koji. The 720 ml size is also easy to carry as a gift.
