Longrow is a heavy, oily single Campbeltown malt whisky produced at the Springbank distillery using malt with a phenol value of 50-55 ppm, dried for 48 hours using only peat, and double distilled.
Longrow expresses its individuality and charm to the fullest by blending various ages and cask types.
The aroma presents sweet peat smoke, vanilla, macaron, and lemon meringue, with notes of seaweed and dry oak. The taste offers honey lozenges, vanilla toffee, apple, and BBQ scallops, with peat smoke dancing rhythmically. It is light yet satisfyingly full-bodied, with an excellent balance that perfectly embodies what Longrow should be.
Tasting Comment
Color: Yellow gold
Nose: Very creamy. Vanilla custard, with smoke gradually expanding.
Toasted marshmallow, herbs, rich fruit.
Taste: Incredibly balanced. Rich and creamy. A faint medicinal note.
Waves of smoke roll across the tongue like kiln smoke.
