“Nakanaka” is a barley shochu from Kuroki Honten in Miyazaki, known for “Hyakunen no Kodoku.” This authentic barley shochu is carefully distilled in wooden barrels from barley grown in the land of Koyu District, facing the Hyuga-nada Sea.
Description
Made primarily with barley from Koyu District, Miyazaki Prefecture, along with carefully selected barley from across Kyushu. Traditional wooden-barrel distillation brings out the characteristic roasted aroma of barley shochu, along with a mellow, deep flavor. It is said that the name “Nakanaka” expresses the idea that, the more you drink it, the deeper its flavor becomes, and the harder it is to reach the depths of its taste.
Recommended ways to enjoy
We recommend enjoying it slowly on the rocks to savor its aroma and lingering finish. When mixed with hot water, its barley fragrance gently unfolds, while it is also light and refreshing with soda or water.
