Ninjin Mezuraishi is a unique rice shochu made with Kyushu-grown carrots, produced by Kenjo Co., Ltd. in Tachiarai-machi, Mitsui-gun, Fukuoka Prefecture. In 1983, Kenjo obtained the first patent in Japan for carrot shochu production, making it an original product of the company. Shochu made from fermented carrots boasts a fruity and refreshing aroma, a subtle sweetness, and a soft, mild mouthfeel unlike any other ingredient. It is a product of which we are proud, having won numerous awards, including a gold medal in the Kura Master 2023 Variety category and a gold medal at the 10th Fukuoka Prefecture Liquor Appraisal.
Recommended Ways to Enjoy
It can be enjoyed with soda, on the rocks, or with water, but it is also recommended to mix it with vegetable juice. It pairs well with Japanese cuisine, sashimi, and creative dishes, making it enjoyable as a drink during meals.
