Opus One 2019 is a premium Bordeaux-style red wine produced by a renowned winery in Napa Valley, California. It was born in 1979 as a joint project between France's Château Mouton Rothschild and America's Robert Mondavi, and continues to captivate wine lovers worldwide. The 2019 vintage benefited from spring rainfall and a mild summer, resulting in a wine with excellent concentration and balance.
Tasting Notes
Rich aromas of black fruits such as black plum, cassis, and blueberry are layered with nuances of dried rose, spice, and graphite. The palate is silky smooth, with ripe tannins, a mineral quality, and a long finish of subtle cacao.
Aroma
Centered on a rich black fruit aroma, it harmonizes with complex spice notes of cedar, smoke, and a hint of cinnamon and clove. It has the potential to gain even more depth with age.
