Sakurao Distillery, inheriting the techniques of Chugoku Jozo (now Sakurao Brewery and Distillery) with over a century of history, has created this craft gin using carefully selected local ingredients from Hiroshima. Enjoy a glass that embodies the pride of "Made in Hiroshima," blending the traditional gin flavor with the rich aromas nurtured by the Setouchi nature.

Carefully Developed Hybrid Production Method and Hiroshima-Sourced Botanicals

We employ a German-made copper hybrid still that simultaneously uses two methods: "steeping," where botanicals are steeped in a clear base spirit, and "vapor infusion," where alcohol vapor passes through a basket containing botanicals to extract their flavors. A total of 14 ingredients, including 9 botanicals such as fresh Hiroshima-grown citrus fruits, juniper berries, and coriander seeds, are used to maximize the unique characteristics of each material.

Aroma Blending Citrus Scents with Traditional Gin Flavors

In addition to citrus fruits like lemon for its vibrant aroma and yuzu for its rich fragrance, we also use hinoki cypress, oyster shells, and cherry blossoms, a symbol of "Sakurao," the birthplace of the company. These botanicals create a rich aroma and profound taste.
