This is a felicitous encounter between the reliable distillation techniques cultivated since its establishment and single malt whisky that has matured over time in the Sakurao cellar. We bring you a priceless bottle where the freshness of umeshu and the depth of whisky meld together.

The Art of "Finishing" and "Blending" Born from Tradition and Innovation

This product is carefully finished (post-matured) in bourbon barrels previously used for aging malt whisky. Furthermore, for the 2026 Edition, "Single Malt Whisky" also aged in bourbon barrels is blended in. This heavy yet delicate approach is characteristic of what only a whisky distillery can achieve.

A Freshness Like New Greenery and a Sweet Vanilla Finish

By steeping unripe green plums in alcohol, we have brought out a refreshing aroma reminiscent of new greenery and a fresh tartness like freshly picked fruit. The sweet vanilla aroma derived from the bourbon barrel layers itself many times over, and a nutty, savory finish gently spreads in the aftertaste.
