"Satsuma Shimabijin" is a leading brand of Nagashima Kensho, located in Nagashima Town, Kagoshima Prefecture. It is made from sweet potatoes grown in the warm climate and healthy red soil of Nagashima Town, and is a blend of shochu from five distilleries: Miyauchi Shuzo, Miyanotsuyu Shuzo, Nagayama Shuzo, Sugimoto Shuzo, and Minami Shuzo.
