Satsuma Shuzo's imojochu "Satsuma Shiranami" is brewed in Kagoshima Prefecture. Since its launch in 1955, it has been a long-selling brand that represents the brewery, having led the imojochu boom in Kagoshima.
Traditional brewing methods inherited by Kurouze Toji. Also certified with a Geographical Indication (GI).
Using Kogane Sengan, said to be the most suitable sweet potato for shochu production, and white koji, it is brewed by Kurouze Toji, who inherits the traditional brewing methods passed down in Satsuma. Certified as a Geographical Indication (GI), it is characterized by its firm, rich sweetness and a distinctive sweet potato aroma.
Recommended way to drink
When mixed with hot water, the aroma and sweetness of the sweet potato are enhanced. It is also perfect for everyday use on the rocks or with water.
