Caol Ila Distillers Edition 2022 — A Limited Double Maturation Weaving Peat and Muscadelle Sweetness
The rich texture and sweetness brought by the Moscatel cask smoothly enhance, adding depth to its deeply sweet, smoky, and crisp character.
It was initially matured in refill American oak casks and European oak casks.
The second maturation finished in Muscadelle-seasoned, re-charred American oak.

Tasting Notes
■Color: Pale gold with a green shimmer.
■Nose: Immediately smoky and spicy notes come to the fore, followed by Caol Ila's trademark fresh and clean aromas. It's as if someone has poured water on a bonfire and extinguished it. Fruity notes are present but more subdued in comparison.
■Body: Medium
■Palate: A firm, smooth texture, starting with a sweet, mouth-coating taste that spreads a smoky flavor throughout the mouth, making it exceptionally rich. This concentrated smokiness is balanced with sweetness, body, and light woody spices.
■Finish: Long, smoky, and powerful. A pleasant mouthfeel with a hint of spice.
